Nice info Bob. What I have admired about his steel playing since I first heard the JE album is his abitily to use the PSG to support the vocal lines, not compete.

Kevin -- you were around at a great time with all those bands. I'd like to see a picture of that young, cocky drummer...smokin' weed. Well, it doesn't have to be incriminating.

Al, I'll look. I may have one. They were great times. We used to go in to the Fillmore east shows from Long Island where I lived. It took about twenty seconds to realize Jonathen Edward's talent. I remember him doing "The Girl From The Canyon". He was from Athens County Ohio. He weighed about 120 lbs. and was six feet tall. Played a Martin D-28. I wonder what he does today.

Funny thing - today I was listening to JE's "have a good time for me" album and was really enjoying the steel that Bill plays throughout the album. I remember hearing it around 1970 and thinking it was cool having that much steel guitar in the mix. The song "Angelina" really has a spooky quality to it. Nice steel.

Well, Kevin, I'm not sure, but I do know he'll be doing a show at the Cactus Cafe next Tuesday, May 16th, here on the campus of The Univ. of Texas. Austin's own, Sarah Hickman is sharing the bill. The Cactus Cafe is an intimate coffee-house kind of place that may seat 40 to 50 people. Tickets are $15.00 and starts at 8:00 PM. Should be a great show.

Here's a link to info and shows at the Cactus Cafe: http://www.utexas.edu/student/txunion/ae/cactus/index.php?cactus=about

Keep on pickin'!
Glenn
