Hallo everybody,
I'd like to share some photos of a newly arrived treasure and kindly request the experts in this forum to help dating it. I'd like to have some info too which parts of the steel guitar are changed from original state.
I believe its from 1937 or 1938 and it's all original but maybe I'm wrong.
BTW, this guitar has an incredible high output and raises hell within the preamp of my good old Twin Reverb ;-)

Yep..somewhere around that time...just wondering how much you payed for that one????I got one a little older than yours and I paid 900.00 a couple of months ago....I believe I got a great deal for mine.

Hi Andre,
it was £651,00. You have to consider that I don't have to pay customs and VAT if dealing with UK from Germany.
Do you have pictures of your Ricky? Would appreciate to see them.

Andre..........'twas another just like it on eBay several weeks ago. The same kind of tuners had been installed only to crack the headstock clear in two. Rather poor repair job but I'd imagine it too, will sound really good.

Andre, wonderful guitar, congrats. I've seen it too on Ebay but I didn't bit on it because it was shipped to the US only.
Why is it called a B5, I've always thought it's a B6 if it has 6 strings?
To the experts: my tuners look very fragile, I fear they could break very easily. Are there any replacements I can use for the daily work that fit without any changes to the guitar?
