Just thought I would update all of you on my weight loss progress. Since I had gastric bypass surgery 06-20-05 I have lost 82 lbs. I have shed 14” in my waist and can now buy clothes anywhere. I went last night to buy a shirt for a gig and was able to fit into a medium. WOW, I have never owned a medium before. I have had so much support from all my family and friends over the past year. I want to thank all of you that encouraged me and prayed for me. I most want to thank God for giving me a second chance at life. There are some recent photos on the MSA website. www.msapedalsteels.com.

Great news Johnny.
Have there been any complications or side effects from the sergury? I've thought about getting it myself, but I want to know a lot more about it before I do.

Hey "little brother"!!! You are now the smallest of your two other brothers -- Pat Coyne and me and we are both so proud of you. In fact, I'm thinking about heading up to Nashville this weekend to hang with Pat so you will be talked about (bragging on ya) over the weekend.
I'm still wanting to buy your old clothes! HA HA...sure admire you for the effort...you did it! [This message was edited by Bill Simmons on 06 April 2006 at 11:28 AM.] |

Wow. 82 lbs!. Congratulations. What a wonderful thing you have done for yourself.
You have just given me inspiration to loose about 50 lbs. I’ve done it before (lost 40 lbs) and couldn’t keep it off. It took about 6 months to all come back.
But hearing how successful you have been and how you felt about buying a new shirt, I going to give it a try.
Again, congratulations
Ric
