Walter that was a hard one to identify for me. I have several albums and a few videos of Curly playing. He was capable of playing very commercial when he wanted to and was a master at "Bar Shiver" which led me to think it was John Hughey at first. I wonder what he would have sounded like if he had adopted the E-9th tuning earlier. I'm sure he would have had that Chalker touch and tone no matter what. His rendering of "Long Black Limousine" is still one of my favorites. The Steel Guitar community lost a great player at his passing.
