On the "About Ray" pages of the Jerry Byrd Fan Club, there is a "mystery steel player".
Great tone; nice transitions from fast single string work to full chord work....
His phrasing is fantabulous!
Is it Noel Boggs, Speedy West or Herb Remington?
I'd really like to know. THANKS!

Thank You Jody...........but, I have always been lead to believe it was Joaquin Murphy.
It's definitely him playing the flip side of that record "Three Little Girls Dressed In Blue".........
Just tho't some of the speed pickers of today might find it enlightening to hear.

Something nice about Jody? WEll let's see.

He's gettin' to be an elder statesman; I think he's on the 45 rpm record that's being offered on eBay....Vaughn Monroe's "Steel Guitar"; He is like a Fender Steel Guitar in that he gets more valuable with AGE; His early beginnings on steel guitar were at a higher level than some of us have ever been able to achieive in our lifetime...

He's a great and wonderful guy! A real gentleman; one you can feel good about calling him "Friend".....
