Hey, a great big thanks going out to the Portland, OR steelers. I was in town for a meeting, and Dave Grafe introduced me to some of the nicest folks I've ever met.... and good pickin' too! Thanks Eric, Doug, Dave, Mike and Rich. Ya'll made a lonely California boy in a strange town have the time of his life! And special thanks to you Dave, for the tour of the town.

Hopefully Amee will bring the band up to your area this spring and we can all visit again.

Now that I'm gone you can tell the other folks I'm not really Paul Franklin :-)

Thanks for the heads-up that you were coming, Dave, it was an inspired evening to be certain, starting with a missing steeler and a prodigious tele-playing fiddler, then stumbling into live relics of the Holy Modal Rounders, eventually finding ourselves amidst a mild-mannered convention of bass-playing pedal-steelers, capped of by Duggie showing us what he could do on Robin's old Emmons.

Next time bring yer axe and get here in time for dinner!

Hey Dave, next time maybe I'll just bring a bass :-)

Actually I do hope our band makes it up to the Portland/Seattle way later this spring, and if we do I'll pad a couple of days for local "sight seeing" as well.

Thanks again gang. Pedal on.
