John still plays a lot of Vince's concerts, but that was not him on the show tonight. Great player, but I don't know him. There were three steel players, and all of them were great. The guy in Alan Jackson's band did a great job on Lloyd Green's chorus on "Remember When."

John Hughey hasn't played much with Vince in a while; for a while it was JayDee Maness, more recently it's been Russ Pahl...

Roy, Alan Jackson's steel player is Robbie Flint. Robbie's been with Alan since his career started seventeen years ago. If you noticed in the last song where every artist was singin', Robbie was playing steel on the songs they played. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

Ronnie Miller was playing steel for Charley Pride and I saw where he was playing a Mullen instead of a GFI. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

Hi Brett.
Because I went to NY a week early to visit, and do the tourist thing, I did not want to have to keep track of my GFI guitar, I borrowed a Mullen from my friend Jerry Laraby who lives in the city.
I play a Day setup, and his is Emmons, so I am glad we only did 2 songs, I still think I slipped once.cya...Ronnie

Ronnie, I enjoyed your set in Dallas. That is the first time I got to see you in Dallas. The last time I saw the pridesmen was in the early 90's when Charley had a theatre in Branson. You and the band did a great show in Dallas
