So I'm standing looking at the music section in walmart and I happen to look down and I swear I see "steel guitar tribute...." I took a closer look to find "Free Bird The Steel Guitar Tribute To Lynyrd Skynyrd". Amazing! and although only $5.98 I would have bought it at any price if I had to! Two of my favorite steel guitarists are featured on this - Robby Turner & Johnny Cox. Anyway on the back of the cd some very inspiring words of wisdom really caught my attention and I thought I would share with the community here.
"When placed in the hands of a master artist, A steel guitar produces a radiant sound of unsurpassed depth and feeling"
Steel Guitar cd's a thing walmart might stock? I doubt it, but this cd is great! Any fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd and steel player/lover will adore it! |

it was over a year ago i was at walmart and in the section where they have the cented candles there is a small section there of different types of music. i found one it is country gospel. it features STEEL electric guitar acustic guitar harmonica panio fiddle etc. it is a awsome cd. i was buying them up for friends and family then about 6 months ago i noticed they discontinued this tape and cd. it has a lot of the old time gospel music on it and it is my favorate cd of all. just my $.02 worth doc.

I have the Steel Guitar Tribute to the Eagles CD, pretty good stuff; though I was initially a bit piqued as the cover features a Ricky B-6 and there is nary a note of non-pedal on the entire record. The players did a great job on it though; really great arrangements. |

Good CD. I picked it up about a month or so ago, along with a steel guitar tribute to Patsy Cline. Got both of them at Wal-Mart locally. I too was surprised to find steel guitar instrumentals at Wal-Mart. |
