Dave "DB" Berzansky!
Had a blast at Deke's Guitar Geek festival last Friday night, and one of the highlights was hearing "DB", with his vintage Sho-Bud, through an old Sho-Bud amp. He did a great set of vintage country, swing, etc, wailing on both necks! Did I mention TONE?? Not to mention that he was playing with two of my faves--Bill Kirchen and Dave Biller! I'm looking forward to hearing DB with the Hacienda Bros.--check him out--great guy and great player--with great TONE!

I'll bet it was fun. I was listening to a Hacienda Bros. show this morning from the KUT LiveSet archives. Great playing by DB! Here's the link:

There's even a Heybale show on there with Big Murph on it.

Hey thanks so much for the nice words. What an awsome evening of visiting with you guys, and some great folks i havent seen for a while and new friends too. I had such a great time at Deke's event I still havent settled down from it all. I am so thankful to Deke for having me there to play a set of whatever I wanted. For a sideman who is typically asked to just play E9 (which of course I love) to be able to play some of those old swing tunes was killer. And to pick with Dave Biller and Bill Kirchen was just the best, those guys are all around great guys.
That Sho Bud amp I was using doesnt belong to me but I sure wish it did. There sure was some great gear there eh? For those of you that couldent come, this event was a celebration of great vintage gear. I doubt that many standel amps have ever been in one place at the same time like that and you couldent throw a rock without hitting a dang double neck guitar in that place! What a great night. thanks again

Hi Jussi,
Well, Deke had his Sho Bud amp there but the one I was using belonged to a buddy of mine Mark Neill who performed at the festival also. If I am not mistaken those christmas tree deals are only 30 watts? They sure do crank though. If I ever find one for the right price I will pick it up for sure. thanks
