I just heard (on Steelradio) a player by the name of "Mark Horn' do a great rendition of "Rocky Top". First time I see the name....are you out there, Mark?

Hi Chippy,
I take it that there must be an album available if he's been played on Steelradio!
Who knows,.......maybe someone can still shed some light on this elusive player.
Regards,
Nic

I'm not aware of his album but was very impressed with Mark when I had the pleasure of playing with him on the Irish Steel Guitar Association show last year. He plays a German-made WBS steel guitar and is a very accomplished player.

Hello Nic,
I dont think Mark visits the Forum much if at all.He is very well known to all the steel fans who visit the Irish Steel Guitar Festival every October in Drogheda.I hope he wont mind me posting a little information about his CD.It is called "Checkmate" and combines the talents of Mark Horn steel guitar and Laurens van Wessel. In my humble opinion it is a very good presentation of the exceptional talent of Mark Horn and the Rocky Top is only one of the great cuts on this album.

Thanks Phil,
It would be nice if Mark could let us know where we can get his CD. He does sound like he knows what he's doing on the steel and I wouldn't mind getting a copy of the CD.
Regards,
Nic
