I`ve made enquiries bout maybe joining the jam session while I`m visiting from Scotland, but I have a few concerns.
Am I gonna be blown away by everyone and not know the stuff,
I am picking up a NEW Msa M3 so will I be able to play it?
Am I gonna suck in front of a whole heap of people?
Does the prospect of playing with a hot backin band outweigh all of the above?
Course it does. Off goes my application for the late night jam! heehee

Dave, all the guys will tell you, you learn fast when you have a gun to your head. A lot of these experienced pickers, did like what Jeff Newman used to advise, get on stage and 'do it'. |

The great about most steel guitarist is they realize the work put into learning and playing a steel guitar, everyone will appreciate your effort and the results.

As to the question of "can you play your new M3" of course you can. I bought two new MSA's last year and I only had to make a few very minor adjustments on the pedal height (which is adjustable with a "thumbwheel" under the guitar), the knee lever distance from my knees (again adjustable with thumbscrews) and tweak the tuning slightly. The whole process took about 15 minutes at maximum. I got my second one on a Friday, played it about 30 minutes on Saturday, and played it with my church gig on Sunday morning. These are great guitars, and Johnny Cox did a great job setting them up even with my oddball inside/outside RKL setup.
How about a picture you say? I just happened to have one. click here

Hey, I already play an MSA Classic XL and love the tone, so should be okay then. Like the pic, looks like you are an MSA fan too, and if I`m not mistaken, is that the stars and stripes guitar I saw on the MSA website a few months ago, on the custom colors page? |

Yes Davie, thats it. I ordered the Legend back in July, then MSA had the Patriot M3 on display at ISGC in September. Like Jerry Clower used to say "they flung a cravin' on me" so I had to have it too. Since you already play an MSA you won't have any trouble.
