It's great to finally climb aboard - I've been learning something new here almost every day for the last six or seven months. There is an incredible wealth of information and experience here. Thank you b0b (I hope you've got a back up copy! ).

I've been teaching myself PSG for that same length of time. How did I get into it? Let's see... same way as many I suspect: long time fan of the Sneaky/Lloyd/JD/Byrds/Burritos thing and I've gradually been feeling my way into country music for a while (Emmylou/Loretta/Merle/Paycheck...). Bought a Maverick last year, got seriously bit by the bug, and graduated more recently to a '74 MSA S-10 Classic.

This is by far the most intimidating (but easily most rewarding) instrument I've ever tried to play. I've got a few questions stored up and hopefully I can be of encouragement to other newbies facing the same mountain. Thanks to all of you for your help so far and more specifically to Robert Martin, Tom Bradshaw, Wayne and Joan Link and Reece Anderson for direct support and friendly assistance.

Best wishes, Jonathan

Welcome!!
Yeah, I've been trying for many years!
It's a good idea to tap into the info available on the forum. Many a newbie have been deterred from developing bad playing habits. So, shout loud and clear if there is something you need to know!

Welcome, Jonathan.

Another great thing about the forum is that it's international. Check Nick's CD covers and Walter's Lloyd Green tribute.
