I've been looking for a T-Logo but what the seller is asking is a bit too much for my blood. These were going for $450-500 a year ago. Now as high as $1,000. WHEW!

I'm trying to figure out the "same type of guitar the Beatles used" line in the sellers description, aside from the obvious fact that John and George owned some Rickenbacker "regular" guitars. Man-that's a stretch of a sales pitch.

Did the Beatles ever use a Bakelite lap steel on any of their songs?

John played lap steel on "For You Blue" on "Let It Be". I haven't seen the movie lately, but I believe it was a Harmony, or Supro...

I believe that's way overpriced for a model with that type of tailpiece.

I believe Lennon played a Hofner. If the reference really is just to the use of Ric 6 & 12 string Spanish guitars, man, that really is a stretch.
FWIW I paid $425 for a twin to this guitar 5 years ago. I felt I paid on the high end of the spectrum at the time but it was a reputable seller.
No question, though--the market has heated up since then.

If I remember correctly, John Lennon Played it with a BIC (or similar) lighter for a bar...but then again, I don't always remember correctly.

That's the thing with "collectables" .....
They only appreciate in value.....Rarely do they go down in price ...

I'm sure that some of us can remember when we could find HUNDREDS of old Harley's for $1,000 each , or a little more !!.....Try it today !!....$1,000 won't buy you a stock frame !!....

How much is an original 59 Gibson Les Paul today ??...... Hmmmmmmm !!.......Jim

Or, North American P-51 Mustangs, that won the air war over Germany in WWII, going for only $1,500 each after the war for surplus; that is, until the hydraplane racers caught on to those big beautiful Merlin Engines.

This guitar is still available. I almost bought it but decided to buy a Remington Steelmaster S8. The seller was willing to sell it to me for $800.

My wife paid $520 three years ago for an late 40s/early '50s B-6 with a "blade" logo ... my Christmas present. (It probably would have been less, but another Forumite was bidding primarily for the case, which is also in EXC+ condition. He figured he could use it for his pre-war, and sell the post-war again for as much or more!)

In case you've never seen it, here is "Lennon, the Lap and the Lighter:"
