Any idea how many times you played Buddy's Christmas album this holiday season? I still feel it is one of his best and tastiest productions ever. Season's best to every steel guitar enthusiast. -DJ-

I played it a few times. His version of "Blue Christmas" was the first Christmas song I learned on steel. I not only listened to it, but I played along with it. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

Right now I have it loaned out to a new steel player friend of mine. I highly recommend this project to anyone on planet earth. I just cannot emphasize how great the Christmas project is.

Hear, Hear! The best steel guitar album ever, in my opinion.

It's all good, of course, but I contend that 'Sleigh Ride' is the most immaculate playing ever - if you can get close to that one, you can consider yourself a competent player (I'm not there yet!)

A great job, Buddy - thanks!

Buddy's Christmas album is a must at the Caldwell's around this time of year. Sometimes I play it july, It's that good. When Buddy first recorded that album, We played a couple of shows and I got to play those charts. What fun. But isn't Buddy always. I do hope things are going well for the "Big E" and Peggy. Love ya pal, Bobby

WAAAY back,in the late 70's,I spoke with Tommy Overstreet about wanting to record a Christmas album, since I had not recalled anyone having one at that point. He said,"Nah,nobody's gonna buy a Christmas album on steel guitar!"

Okay, jumping forward a few years,to 1989,I was attending a "R.O.P.E." meeting, along with the Big "E". I mentioned the fact to him, that I had not heard a steel album of Christmas music. He responded,"Hmmm, let me think about that." One year later, out comes,"Christmas Sounds Of The Steel Guitar".

Hopefully,I had a small part in convincing him to record that album. I could listen to that album in JULY,& still enjoy it.

Thank you Mr. Emmons, for, hopefully, taking my "advice"!
