Jody,
I just ran across these old obscure recordings by Jimmie Dale, recorded probably in the mid 50's, with you on steel, Jimmie Dale on vocals, George Barnes on lead guitar, Shorty Long on piano and fiddle, Roy Horton on bass - that is really good stuff!
There must be a lot more good recordings around that nobody ever gets to hear - which is really sad!
Kind Regards, Walter

Walter and John my friends. You can hear all and many of those recording I did back then
Mike Gross plays them often. Contact Mike at
www.swinginwest.com and he will be happy to play those old sessions.
Thanks |

Jody,
Thanks my friend for the plug for "Swingin' West." Yes, it is always my pleasure to play those cuts and whatever else you have done over your wonderful career. All I need is the listeners calling or e-mailing their requests. They also should feel free to record their requests right off the Internet when I play them.

I have been preaching the word for three years or more with regard to Mike Gross and his show. My posts have seem to have gone by the wayside.
Mike is the only one I know that plays the music we love the best and he is most knowledgeable regarding those who made western swing popular. Don Sulesky has also spread the word about Mike.
If you dont listen, you dont hear.
Thanks

Jody, I'm sure that you have some wonderful cuts floating around out there somewhere, as well as some that you would like to remain in obscurity.
I also have some of those that I would prefer to remain anonoymous. May they never be found!
