Ah bikes; another favourite passion!
BSA's: '56 Road Rocket, '51 plunger Golden Flash, '51 Rigid GF, '54 GF,
Ariels: '27 Model A, '51 350 Red Hunter, '56 500 Red Hunter,
'75 Gold Wing,
DT360A, XT500, PE175, SL175, and several more.
These days I ride more carefully than I did 25 years ago.
It was sobering when a friend had the front tire on his Gold Wing deflate (a new tyre had just been fitted!), and he lost a leg as a result. I now own his D10 Emmons as a result.

Currently on a '97 Goldwing. Clocked up 60,000 k's in about 5 years. (My wife made me sell my old 1100 Shadow and buy the Wing 'cause of comfort issues as a pillion!! Had to really twist my arm. Yeah right. )

WOW!!! I can't believe it! We should have a "Guitar/Cycle ride in"!
A lot of diversified brands of cycles you guys are riding also. I love my BMW K-100-RT, but I also love every other bike ever made, (even Zundap). I own several cycles now but none are the same brand.(Sold the Buell Lightning 1200). What do I want to add to the collection? A BSA, Norton, Ducati "Desmo", and the list goes on.
When it comes to bikes, I don't want a "Push-Pull", I want them to move on their own.
Yes, Eric West, you have to pick out my "Knuckle Head" Harley when you get here!
John Drury, lets ride! As a matter of fact, lets pick a time in the future when a bunch of us steelers can ride together! Wish Chalker were here, he was a cycle fanatic!

I've owned and ridden bikes since I was sixteen, and about twelve months ago I sold my car and use a little Kawasaki GPZ500 for going to work. I've only got three others now, a 1935 250cc Francis Barnett, a 250cc Puch split twin, and a Yamaha SR500 single cylinder road racer.
I've raced bikes at all the major UK circuits, up to international level, and made bits -mostly exhausts- for some major players in the GPs. Most of my riding was on tiny bikes, 50s 80s and 125cc racers- far too many to list.

Richard Argus:I always wanted a 500 Red Hunter or a Manx Norton. I like the big singles. I owned a 63 Catalina Scrambler. I would like to see your plunger frame Beezer.
Crow Bear:I had a buddy in school that rode a Zundapp, I haven't seen one in ages. I also rode a bike in the seventies I rarely see anymore, an Ossa Pioneer enduro type bike. They were made in Spain. Ever see one over there?
This has turned into a fun topic! Keep them coming!

2004 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500cc. Wife just bought it for me about 3 weeks ago and it's only 830 lbs light, not quite as heavy as my Zum (jes kiddin)..but it hauls "Cowboy Butt"

Gene,
Thanks for posting the picture of Paul Bigsby of Bigsby Guitar fame. I read somewhere that he worked at the Crocker factory and that he was instrumental in the developement of the big tank Crocker.

I'll confess, I am a Motorcycle man myself. Anything with a motor is gonna catch my eye. I am currently riding a 1974 Yamaha TY 250 Trials Bike. I have spent more time working on it than riding it, but when i get to ride it makes up for all the hours i have spent working on it.
