WORDS
Smile an everlasting smile, a smile can bring you near to me,
Don't ever let me catch you gone, cause that would bring a tear to me.
This world has lost it's glory, lets start a brand new story,
Now my love.
Right now, there'll be no other time
and I can show you how my love.
Talk in everlasting words, and dedicate them all to me,
And I will give you all my life, I'm here if you should ever call on me,
You think that I don't even mean, a single word I say,
It's only Words and Words are all I have
To take your heart away.
I included words in this post as they
are necessary to understand the music?
My tuning is 6 string Leavitt but this would be a great solo for E9th also. Perhaps moreso? Here is a link to my MP3 and if you have a problem opening email me at...

Nice tune Roy. I've been doing it on E9th pedal steel since I heard Elizabeth Cook sing it on the Opry a few years back. I was reminded of the neat chanes and nice melody, so I went back and dug it up. Yes, it lays nicely on the E9th. |

Absolutely Beautiful Roy.... If I get a chance today I'm gonna see how it plays out of the dobro. I love your touch and the rendition of the song. Lee |

Karen Poston and Her Crystal Pistols have been covering this song for about a year. It has nice changes and is fun to solo through. We'll be playing this Friday at Ginny's Little Longhorn. Glad to hear your version! |
