On "About Ray"'s page, there's a tune that is being played with what I believe to be fine/or otherwise acceptable TONE. For some of you fellows that are pretty sharp on what is a lap steel, or pedal steel or whatever, can you tell me which this is?
Just curious.......

i think most of us can usually tell the difference. But then there are some players who can fool you. Billy Robinson, Tom Morrell, Reece, and Leonard T Zinn come to mind offhand.

Some of the fellows are so very sharp on WHO is playing WHAT and thro' WHAT EVER, so I was curious if by the sound, they might be able to accurately determine what kind of a guitar (mfr.)(lap or PSG)was being played.
NOT a technical question..........just a curiosity thing.........not important or crucial to our way of life.

I'm not hearing any pedal work, but some nice regular steel stuff, with maybe 2 different tunings (C6th and an Em7th, maybe). Could it be a double neck Ric console?

Sorry Donny......... It's just my tired olde
Emmons D-10 p/p. Not that that is any kind of a big deal but I tho't the tone was exceptional rich; as nice a sounding as any of my Ricks........or so I tho't.
I was curious if any of the others tho't so.
It was C6th/A7th
