Does anyone of you fine folks recall who recorded "PAID in FULL"? My first instinctive reaction is Merle Travis or Cowboy Copas..........
If any of you have this, would a cassette tape be possible?

Melba Montgomery recorded a tune by this name in the early '70s, did somone else record it?
Larry Sasser played steel on it and it was recorded at "Pete's Place" on 18th ave in Nashville's "Music Row".
As I remember, it sold very well.
Help someone, I think Ray might be talking about another tune, possibly,

I believe Bobbe is correct in that Melba Montgomery recorded one by that title about a little boy presented his Mom with a bill for all the chores he did around the house and then Mom made him a bill for all the things she did in raising him and marked it "Paid In Full". A touching song. My wife Carlene also sings a Gospel song "Paid In Full" referring to our debt of sin being "Paid In Full by the blood of the lamb". This is a very great Gospel song. So, it seems there are at least two songs with that title

I recorded most of Copas' songs with him on King Records. I seem to recall the song, but I'm not sure it was one of Cope's. (That would have been over 50 years ago, so I can't be sure.)

I believe "No Charge" was the title of Melba's song. Great message in that song.

"No Charge" was a #1 hit for Melba in 1974.
I also have a song with the title "Paid In Full", written and recorded by Frankie Miller in 1955, with Sonny Trammel playing steel.
