Anyone know Garnet Smith?

Garnet used to play in a house band in Harlingen, Tx. on an opry there, late 70's. The band leader was Johnny Vincent, Rhonda's dad. Last saw Garnet about '81 and I think he was living in Corpus Christi. I think Garnet was fron Mo. originally. Any body know Col. Buck Cody?
