Just a reminder.. $405 is not the asking price. It's an ebay auction, the reserve has not been met, and there are still 4 days to go. Let's wait and see how reasonable this turns out to be.

This is the same fry pan that was offered for sale on two occasions over the past
several months on this Forum.??
Seems I recall the asking price was

I have phenomenal cosmic powers as the moderator.

The original posting included the link and the address of the link together (something the UBB code will do automatically if you leave the link in a separate line).
Since the "description" was too long, it forced the page to be drawn to the right instead of reflowing as it should. I modified the description of the URL, replacing the URL address with the words, and it now works as you want it to work instead of how it was forced to work.

That frypan is the early version. The later version has no back (bottom) cover, is about 3/16 larger in diameter, and about 3/16 thicker, and HEAVIER.

Scottys music has one listed now for $950.00. It is the short scale A-22. He had a couple others in the past week or so...long and short scales, same price. I have one in long scale...beautiful tone.

The Jerry Byrd frypans ran in two series:

The Excel frypans were made in Japan, but designed by Jerry. These were later editions.
The Sho-Bud fry pan which was a earlier or older edition, were of a limited number. Jerry coordinated the creation of these with Shot Jackson.

As a result of the limited Sho-Bud edition these are the more valuable.

The Sho-Bud Jerry Byrd frypan is the one that you see on E-bay. It is more valuable than the Excel frypan listed at Scotty's for $950.

I would say this Sho-Bud will probably go for around $1100 to $1400.
