I had the pleasure of attending Dirkes' concert last night. He put on a great show and clearly is a muscian's friend. He introduced each player more than once and shared the stage with them multiple times.

I also had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Tim Sergent after the show. Our plans to meet after sound check failed because I was late due to my job.

Tim is a very nice guy and said that he had looked for me earliar and then at the concert. Of course he didn't know what I looked like because we had only communicated through this forum. The fact that he remembered that he was going to meet me at this concert, one of 25 that they have been playing, surprised me. He spoke of not being able to post or read the forum since he did not have a computer on the road.

This forum has made it possible to communicate with some awesome players and occassionally meet them as well. Tim was very gracious and even posed for photos. If someone will tell me how to post it here I will do so. Need I say, he is an awesome player. He played dobro as well as his Emmons and was great on both.

We talked steels and the buisiness. I wish we would have had more time to talk and spend together but maybe next time.

Tim: I enjoyed meeting you and look forward to doing so again sometime. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Hey, Ken,
Just got home yesterday from doing 25 shows in a row! I've never done that before. We crossed the entire continent...started in New York and worked our way across the states and even crossed into Canada twice. Went all the way over to Vancouver, BC then down into Oregon and Washington before we started working our way back East. It'll end up being 41 shows in 45 days. We finish Dec.10th in Las Vegas and I imagine that'll be some rip-roaring party!!!

Anyway, it was great to meet you and Carol and the rest of your family. Wish we'da had more time to visit, but maybe next time.

Take care,
Tim

Hook,
It's always great to hear from you since I don't very often. I thought you'd forgot me! Tell all the 'ol running buddies from days gone by that I said hello. Keep in touch better.
