Here is one great instrumental album from 1980, re-released on CD in 1992, still available through Amazon:

"Outrageous" by Byron Berline (Flying Fish FF 70227)

This is a great instrumental album by Byron, partly Bluegrass, partly "electrified" - with great players like Dan Crary, John Hickman, James Burton, Albrt Lee, Vince Gill and...Jay Dee Maness doing some great steel parts!

Kind Regards, Walter

Thanks for the heads up on that one Walter. I'll keep an eye peeled in local shops for that one. All great players.

Say Hi to him for me! I met him in Vienna about 15 years ago when he did a concert with John Hickman. What a great night!

Kind Regards, Walter

Yes, thanks for the heads up. Looks like it slipped in under my radar. I bet it's a killer album. I just played with Crary last nite. I'll ask him about it.
