Bobbe, I'm with ya on "Rose City Chimes" I have a C-D with you doing it,FANTASTIC job. I do like Londonderry Air by Buddy also. I have been after Jerry Roller to do it for me. Can't get him to so I'll go after Austin Stewart,, Will not be long till he's doing that too. Ron

Bobbe my fren...you still know how to start sumpin!!With so many favorite players(you included), and so many favorite tunes, it is hard to pick just one.
Back in the mid 60s I used to listen to Opry Star Spotlight on the way to work,RCC by Bobby G. later by BE,love em both, also love your version. Do you play it on E9, or use both necks?

Soo hard to narrow it down....
Would have to be "Hold It" by Buddy...still gives me chills to hear it.
Close runners up:
"Cjam" from PF's first record.
Everything from the Superslide DVD--brilliant stuff and truly inspiring, but dang it, now I'm lusting for yet another instrument!
Everything from the Buddy Emmons and Hal Rugg DVD...especially the shuffle stuff. If DVD's can wear out, I'll find out with this one and the Super Slide DVD.

Bill Ford, on this song (Rose City Chimes)- I have to use both necks. The thumb style is on the C6th, the rest on the E9th. I feel this is the way the way most guys do it I'd guess.
This is one of the reasons I like this great composition, a lot of varity and different feels. Not a boring note anywhere!

My favorites to listen to are any cut from the "Masters Of The Steel Guitar" Album, Bobbe, Jimmy Day. "The Nearness Of You", "Take Me As I Am", "I Just Destroyed The World". etc. I love to Play, "Night Life", "My Window Faces The South", "Back Home In Indiana", "Crazy". Good Thread Bobbe Thank You.

Tiare No Tahiti by Jerry Byrd (his first recording of this tune) is my favorite for listening.
...got to be the very best harmonics of my lifetime. I've made it a life project to learn to play the harmonics like that. I'm nearly half-way there.
My favorite to play is on pedal steel, Ernest Tubb's Half a Mind by Big E. I may be a little over half-way there on this one.
