This is one many of you may not have heard.. Its one of my favorites... Little Feat with Pete on steel and they really let him run with it.. CLASSIC Pete Kleinow playing!

But Bob, that's not real. Don't you know that 8-string Fenders are too limited, clunky, and incapable of playing anything slightly quick on? Nah, it's smoke and mirrors. You have to have a modern E9 setup to do that stuff.

Great Track!
We did this one in a band I played in in Montana around '81-'83.
We would extend the ending solo quite a ways some nights.
I just ordered a Little Feat box set called "Hotcakes & Outtakes" from our public library, has Six Feet, Willin', and a bunch more.
Thanks for posting this, Bob!

I hope you guys have a copy of the S.Pete compilation CD "The Legend and the Legacy". Absolutely wonderful playing, arrangements and ideas. I always play it for anyone who intimates that a "modern" setup is necessary to get "good music". Wow, is he ever amazing. |

Bob, I agree, this sure is classic Sneaky stuff. I also love his subtile steel solo in Feat's Willin' on Sailing Shoes, one of the best albums ever made by human beings... goose bumps all over! Great to hear some Feat on the forum.
All the best from Amsterdam,
Roland

Just super Bob. What can you say? What a style. His Fender sure has that great twangy
sustain. I put it in my MP3 library.
