Because of the many past threads regarding the proper footware to wear while playing pedal steel, I am submitting this ITEM as a public service. (I'm not sure where it should be posted.) I will defer comments to others!

Many years ago I had a pair of "Gaucho Boots" that were worn by Cowboys in Argentina. The boots had some accordion pleats at the ankle and would be perfect for rocking on and off the pedals, without causing problems with a persons ankles.
