Looking at the buying history, this bidder is paying top top dollar for his Fender purchases. Over a grand for a BF Princeton.
Looks like the bidder means business right out of the gate.
If I were intent on this guitar, I would not be bidding until the very end... |

Nothing screams shill to me. He bid enough to break reserve (which was $1200) on the first go. No point setting a high reserve and then having a shill break it.
We don't know what his actual bid is, just that it's $1200 or more.

Ebay has gone retail!
I think the best deals are still here in the forum's classified section or from dealers who you can get on the phone with when you are not happy with a purchase.

Last week I saw two USED stevens dobro bars go for $30 apiece after remaining at $0.99 until just minutes before auction end. The morons bidding didn't realize that they retail new for $15.
There's some dense people out there willing to spend lots of money on stuff that's not really worth it.

Interesting question. If people will spend money on it, doesn't that make it "worth it"? Free enterprise. I played one of the Japanese repro Stringmasters in Nagoya last month. Nice, but not the same. |

A good way to determine shills is to look and see if the seller has given multiple positive feedbacks to the bidders account. I've busted a few that way. |
