Last Thursday 9-8-05, I played the Americana Conference in Nashville with the Derailers. We played a showcase set at the Cannery Ballroom. This is simular to the SxSW conference in Austin, in that the main conference is at the convention center, with showcase venues throughout town. With a wristband or laminate, you can party your butt off from bar to bar. The big difference is it is totally dedicated to Americana Music, which is cool. Here is a link to some pics of the event.

If you scroll down, you'll see my mug. I'm the one in the cowboy hat playing steel. I only ran into a couple of steelers. Pete Finney was there celebrating his 50th B-day. Happy birthday Pete (old fart like me now). I caught the Hacienda Bros show and met Dave Berzansky. They sounded great.
It was a great event and we had a blast.

Way cool Chris, way cool. Sounds like it was a great time. Umm, too bad ya can't see the true "green" color of that Emmons (I won't go as far as Ricky did on that one) hehe.
