Gene Watson--"Then and Now"

Post by Bill Myrick »

I was watching Stan Hitchcocks show on RFD TV when he had Gene for his guest and I understood them to say that Emmons was on his late CD . I picked up a copy of "Then & Now" but it's Sonny Garrish on the credits. What did I hear wrong ? (Incidently, it's an excellant CD produced by Gene with 13 great country songs) with great back ups and vocals.

Bill;

Buddy played on Gene's Step One Records CD's. (I don't recall how many there were.)

The show would have been from four or so years ago. Gene's last two CD's--the recent Then and Now, and 2003's Gene Watson ....Sings--find Sonny on steel. The two before that--Way to Survive ('97) and From the Heart ('01) do indeed feature Buddy.
Music the way it should be on all four of these.
[This message was edited by Fred Ermentrout on 13 September 2005 at 03:31 AM.]

I saw his show last Friday here in Leesville, and Corky Owens did a great job covering all his hits on a pretty black Rains.
