I had the honor of opening a show for David Ball and John Conlee last night at the White River Water Carnival in Batesville, AR. I got to meet David's steel player Alonzo Walker. He is a super nice guy and has an awesome guitar. A 1970 Emmons. He could make that thing talk. I really enjoyed his playing. He also took the time to talk to me and answer any of my questions. If any of you get a chance to see him, you should take it. It is well worth it.
Alonzo if you see this, tell David to come back to Arkansas soon! Thanks for the great show!

I got to see David Ball about three years ago, the one thing that blew me away was his singing seemed even better live than it did on record (or would that be on CD?). How sad is it that we EXPECT singers to be "helped" so much these days in the studio that we're suprised when we hear a great one live? |

David did have an excellent live sound. I really enjoyed the show. I love his "honky tonk" sound that he has. I dont hear much of that anymore. |

Thanks Zach for the kind words! We had a great time and enjoyed the great music and fellowship! We would love to come back to Arkansas...we just need some bookings there. Till then, take care! |
