Hi, I will be in Minneapolis this weekend and I was wondering if there will be any steel players playing in the area? Also, are there any music stores that sell steels or vintage guitars? Thanks in advance for any input.

Erv, I believe Minniapolis is an "e" away from Minneapolis. I thought something looked funny when I wrote it, sorry about the misspelling.

Bob,
You know I'm just pulling your leg. You might have a chance to hear someone playing steel guitar, however, there aren't any music stores, that I know of, that have any steel guitars you can look at. Bill Rudolph builds the Williams guitar north of Anoka but you need a GPS unit to find him.

Bob,
Don't forget to check out Lee's Liquor Lounge. For cool guitar's go to Willie's American ..... something. It's in St.Paul and they should have a bunch of stuff.
Have fun and bring us back about 10 lbs of cheese curds.

If you have access to a vehicle and the inclination, I'll be playing in Sandstone, MN (90 mi. N) backing Narvel Felts, a tremendous singer, BTW, and Marvin Rainwater.
Definately check out Lee's for live music,
and Willies for cool gear. They don't usually have much for pedal steels, but almost always have an assortment of lap steels and reso guitars. Also give Bill Rudolph a call. He makes a nice guitar.
Have a good time.
