Have arrived home from the HSGA festivities in Joliet, but still suffering from "Van lag".

This stuff about playing from the heart... it's TRUE!

Had my first opportunity to hear Forumite Doug Smith play his 'lil' non-pedal, table top, lap top, non-Reso, round hole (?) flat top, slide guitar and I want to tell you, he is a very soulful player. He played several tunes that were dreamy enough but by the time Doug got finished with his artistry, one could almost cry. So sweet, so soft, so relaxed and with feeling galore! TRULY a gifted musician/steel player.
You did an excellent job Doug! I wish I could have heard MORE!

Ray, couldn't agree more, and have told Doug the same on several occasions!

Not saying Doug is soft (!) but the playing you heard is definitely a reflection of his kind personality.
