I was listening to the weather forecast on a local NPR station yesterday, and behind the announcer, you could hear the Star Trek theme played on PSG.
It took a couple of seconds for my brain to process what I was hearing and tune the announcer out... then I realized it sounded really really good.
Anybody knows who that is?
Stephan

Yes, it comes from a compilation CD that came out several years ago, with a bunch of different studio pickers on it. I have a copy around here somewhere. I recall that Mike Fried was one of the players, but I can't recall who the others were right now, or who played that particular track. Probably another Fo'Bro has more info. |

Cool. I think Alexander Courage would like it.

Hi Stephan!
That's L.A.'s own MARTY RIFKIN playing that TREK theme. He's a fantastic player (both with and without pedals) and I hope you get to meet him some time -super cool guy. He usually plays his Fender Stringmaster with The Barn Dance Band at Ronnie Mack's Barn Dance, which takes place on the first Tuesday of the month here in L.A. It's now at a place called El Cid, I believe.
Anyway, Marty is a cool cat.

Thanks for the info, guys!
Hey Greg, that's great news, I thought the barn dance nights had ended after Crazy Jack's went down... Do you have anymore info on location etc?
