Johnny Bush's new cd.

Got my copy of Johnny Bush's new cd, Green Snakes. It is awesome but I wasn't fortunate enough to get the bonus cd that was issued with some of them. I would love to get a copy of the bonus cd if someone here would share it with me. I would like to get a copy of it in cd format if I could.

i wouldn't go way out of my way to get the bonus disc. it is very, very low fidelity. only played it once. songs are very much in the same tempo. nothing particularly worthwile about it other than as as a historical curiousity documenting one of johnny's earlier attempts in a studio.

The added bonus CD is Johnny, Willie, and Tom Morrell from 1962. I love it! Tommy Detamore, like Bruce Bouton a student of Buddy Charleton, was great on the CD. But what sent me into orbit was a guy I have not seen since 1976, Dennis Mathis, also of San Antonio. Denny blew me away on Johnny's CD as well as the TSGA this year! He also was inducted into the TSGA HOF!! Whatta player. The last time I saw him was at the Texas Star Inn off HWY 16 outside of San Antonio playing a red MSA. Buzz Evans said on his set at TSGA that Denny knocked him thru the "wall" 3 times during his set!!

I saw Denny Mathis for the first time at the TSGA show. What a monster picker!

Last time I saw Denny was 1976 at the Texas Star Inn (on HWY 16 a few miles north out of San Antonio) playing a red MSA. He was just as devastating then. It was great to make his acquaintance again.

I took lessons from Denny from 1976-79. He's
one of the best and a great guy.
I think he is a staff player at Fiesta Texas theme park.

I too, took C6th lessons from Denny in the 70's,
Wayne I bet he was playing with Bubba Littrell at the Texas Star Inn.huh ?

(Green Snakes)It's not a new CD any more, but if you haven't heard it, get it. Dicky Overbey, Rick Price, Tommy Detamore, Denny Mathis and Buddy Emmons are all on this album. Great tunes and great pickers.

b0b; I can't find this one (Green Snakes) in your list. Am I overlookin something with my crossed eyes? Anybody want to suggest where's the best place to purchase this disk?

When I first moved to San Antonio in 1966, Denny Mathis was the first Texas Steel player I saw. It scared me so bad I wanted to hide my Fender 1000. I was afraid everybody here played like that. I soon found out that there were a lot of hot players here.
