I was listening to some steel music that says it was performed by a BUZZ EVANS. Does anyone know of this steeler? I was told he was from Missouri, any way to contact him. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for you help.

Buzz lives in Las Vegas and sometimes plays the casino's here in Arizona.He is a hard man to get a hold of and I don't have any current info on him.
If you think he play's steel well,you should hear him play lead guitar! WOW.

Fred...You are soooo right. Buzz is an absolutely fantastic player. Both steel and guitar. I was told about Buzz years ago from Russ Wever and then Jerry "Muttonhead" Erickson had a tape of him and he knocked me out. I tracked him down in Vegas playing on Fremont St and wow! Live was even more impressive. Great guy too.

Buzz & I worked together,in the same band,back in the early 60's,in Massachusetts.
He played lead,& I played steel. When I had to go for my 2 weeks army reserve summer training,he took over BOTH duties. Buzz is one heluva picker! (& just about as "crazy" too!)

I remember working some shows together with Buzz in the 70's when I was with dick Curless. Man what a player.......great guy.

I first met Buzz in the late ’50's in N.J. He was working with Troy Fergusen in the Camden, N.J. area. And then the next I saw him he was walking down Broadway here in Nashville and at the Sho-Bud Store in the ’70's. He do get around! I know he's been in Vegas for a long time now! Way back in the late ’50's/early ’60's he played a Fender 1000 and probably a Tele!

Buzz is doing a duo, on the weekends, at the Skyline Casino in Henderson, NV right now.

| Buzz was at the Dallas Show several years ago. We were on the shuttle with him and his daughter back to the airport - but can't remember what year it was exactly. |

Buzz Evans plays lead on Dick Curless' "Live At The Wheeling Truck Drivers Jamboree" album. Curly Chalker plays steel, as most of you probably already know.....

| Barry, I mimic all what was said about Buzz. I met him back in 1981 in Vegas when his band filled in our spot at the 'Silver Dollar' saloon. Our band moved on to the strip. Buzz is a super musician and fun to hang out with. And you're right, he does get around. |

Buzz is originally from Adams,MaSS..UP THE ROAD A PIECE from my hometown of Pittsfield ,Mass. Smiley..was he playing with you in the "North End" in the Mid 60's when I used to run up the street to "catch You"?

Nope,he worked w/ us,at the "Pleasantdale Club",in Chicopee,Ma.,around '63 or '64. We couldn't afford the drinks in the club,so we used to split a bottle of "Silver Satin" wine,out in the parking lot.
