come back player & old forumite says hello

Post by Paul Smith »

Hello everyone,

My name is Paul Smith from Massachusetts, just wanted to say a big hello to all you steel pickers out there. I was a member of the forum several years ago and purchased a few guitars from the forum. Currently I do not own a psg (have been playing consistently with no pedals though playing lap steel) Looks like Im going to order up a desert rose student model here shortly.

take care, and thanks for all the great posts

Hello Al,

remember me? I purchased your sho~bud from you some time ago and then sold it back to you, it was that blondie with 2 pickups. What a great sounding guitar... do you still have it?

The weather is nice around here right now... for a change! :-)

Hi Paul-I wondered if you would remember. I sold that Sho-Bud to HowardR.

I tried to buy it back from him but he is quite a collector and won't part with it.

But I have a Sho-Bud Pro 1, and have now on it 6 pedals and 5 knee levers. It had 3 pedals and 2 knee levers.

I spent quite a bit to get the parts. Ed Naylor, bless his soul ,got me some.

John Coop made some exact replicas, Bell-cranks, knee levers, and a few barrel tuners. He is doing a great job for all the Sho-Bud owners out there.

This has the crossrods with the 2 hole pullers and also has a great sound.

Original throughout with the original Sho-Bud dual coil Pickup and no bar dings, I rate this a 9 out of 10.

Good to see you back in the Steel Guitar Forum...al Image Image
