Does anybody know if the Sarah Evans show has a steel player in the band? She is scheduled to appear at the Delaware County Fair in Walton, NY this year in August. I like her music and will attend the show if she has a steel player. Thanks for any information you may have. Larry Jamieson |

Larry, Gary Morse played on Sara's latest record and he was playing steel with her on her "Suds In The Bucket" song on the record. I'm not sure if she uses a steel player now on the road. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10 |

Bob,
Surely, this is a facetious statement on your part. I've seen some "girl-singers" that should be that "homely". I have a big poster of Sara on my wall and,one day, hope to get it signed. She's "gaw-jus"!!

Smiley.. all girls should be that ugly!!!
I was going to add a little winkie face to my reply, but I figured I would see if I could get a rise out of a forumite or two! Stirring the pot again!... Sara is obviously a world class beauty with a voice to match... bob |

Per Larry's original question, I don't know if Sarah Evans carries a steel player on the road, but I'm doing a one-off with a band opening for her Friday, Aug. 19, at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport, PA. If that's not too from Walton you can get a Sarah and a steel fix at the same time. |

Hey Smiley, You said "poster". Come on now....... I was told it's a lifesize blow-up doll. John told me you carried her in with you at the Station Inn last Monday night. |

Larry, last I heard Sara is still touring without steel although I have appeared on some recent awards shows with her. I'm currently touring with Dierks Bentley so if you hear of us coming through your area be sure and look me up. Always nice to meet and hang out with other steel players on the road...... |

Hello Gary,
Thanks for the response. I like Sara's music, but if I'm going to spend the bucks for a concert, I'd like to hear some steel in the band. If you get up in this neck of the woods, I'd like to see the show. I guess most of the current female stars are appealing to a younger, more "pop" oriented audience. |
