Several years ago there was a young man at the ISGC in St. Louis named Zane King. He was a very fast and talented player and singer. The last I ever heard of him he was preaching. He just crossed my mind and I was wondering where he was and what he is doing these days.

Thanks Sonny. I looked at his site and took a look at the photo gallery. Is the older steel player Sonny Garrish? I have seen only a couple photos of Sonny Garrish and just do not have a good mental picture of what he looked like.

I played with a band that used Garrish for their projects. He is a thinker and comes up with some unique licks for the material he plays. He difinitely is a master of studio work. I would love to see him play in a live setting but I know his schedule is full with session work.

I happened to be at The I.S.G.C. in St Louis back in the eighties when Zane was there as a very young man (with Zane Beck if memory serves). There was also a young lady from England by the name of Sara Jory on the same show---those kids made you want to go home and bury your guitar !!!
