Last time I saw the Kinkster in Toronto it was just him and his guitar. That was a few years ago.

Ratso must be a long-time friend, as that's a name Kinky's used in many of his Detective novels -- from years and years ago.

As I recall there was a "New York Ratso" and a "Washington Ratso". Kinky tends to use real people who he hung out with as his fictional characters.

"Washington" Ratso, a member of the Drews, makes for a good match with Kinky.

I worked at the Troubadour with Harriet Shock opposite Kinky and at that time he had a Tele player named "Panama Red". I also worked on a TV episodic starring Stella Stevens with Kinky. It was shot in a gay cowboy bar in Los Angeles and man it was really wild. A place called the Rawhide.

Hi Al!
Member me? I used to play at the Rawhide on Sundays with Kathy Robertson and her band. That is where I fell in love with Ernest Bovine!
Well, . . . musically.

Added note:
Last night, I played Kinky's (political threat) rally in Luchenbach Tx, with Rick Price on steel (wow) Kinky's running for Texas Govenor! Piano playing Little Jewford was by his side there too!

Last time Kinky was in Melbourne he was accompanied by Washington Ratso and Little Jewford. You are right Washington Ratso is a character in his detective stories as is New York Ratso.I'm just about to make my way back to the loft on Vandam St.I hope the cat's in a good mood.
