Mr.Anderson,
The serial number of my MSA is 2C6202. Would you please tell me the build date of this guitar? I am the original owner, and I think it was built in either 1978 or 79. After receiving the guitar, I had a pearl inlayed panel placed in the front of the guitar. Your help will be greatly appreciated......Thank You, Mike Weaver

Michael....since you are the original owner, that means you purchased your guitar from Eckert Bros. Music in Pa. That was a great music store and MSA dealer. I have fond memories of Curly and I playing around that area.

Unfortunately production records do not show a specific date of birth. Perhaps Donny Hinson will come to my rescue on this one.

Yes, I have vivid memories of a show that you and Curly did in nearby Kutztown. I remember that Phil Baugh was playing guitar and Larrie London was the drummer, but I do not remember who was playing bass.

Michael....Thank you for remembering those great days. Curly, Phil, Larry and I played many shows together, had a lot of laughs, and met so many enthusiastic and wonderful people.

I can't remember the name of the bass player either, but I do remember he was a very good listener, had great stage perception, and played exceptionally well.

Michael, I can't give you the specific date, but my "Wayback Machine" (which I inherited from a Mr. Peabody), says it was built in late June of 1980.
