Does anyone have experience using a Laney VC-30 (2x10" or 1x12") with lap steel?

They're 30-watt Class A amps that seem quite good. At least for guitar.

Wondering if they have that Vox-ish/Top Hat-ish mid-range that sounds a little weird with steel.
