There's a great example of what can be done with a lowly six/seven string, decades old lap steel if'n you ad a twenty piece violin section to the session. It's on the home page of www.jerrybyrdfanclub.com Hope you enjoy it.
Too much time being devoted to "how to tune a guitar" and/or "which color plays best"....... This should be an ear-opener for some of you potentially great players. |

Nice, Ray. I particularly love YOUR playing with The Wagonmasters. Yeah! I love Hawaiian dearly, but that westernswing really gets my juices going. Thanks.
Oh, and by the way, I think Blonde sounds best!

Hi Ray,
I'm on dial up, so I can't listen to the music with out an overnight download, but I did read the "about Ray" section. Very interesting life and similar to mine and my Grandpa's combined. I recently aquired a 1937 Ric B7 in a trade, and I have some questions for you.
I'll email you direct if you don't mind. I'll probably not get to it for a while, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your/Jerry's website.

I have always maintained that it is not instrument that makes the music, its the guy playing the instrument.
Some people can make a feast out of potatoes and carrots while other can't even peel them.
