I was just listening to that song, and the soulful steel gave me goosebumps!! Between George's soulfull singing and the steel, what a sound!!

Leigh, Most likely it is Pete Drake on that one. BTW, the song was written by Tom T. Hall. Jason

That song was produced by Billy Sherrill, and on George's 1980 "comeback" album, "I Am What I Am." I was most certainly Ole Pete a-warblin' as only he could. According to musicians I know that played on that album, it took forever to make because of George's lifestyle problems at the time. eek!

That is not Sonny's tone, touch or licks.
