Singer-songwriters need pedal steel

Post by Kevin Bergdorf »

Folk-country-jazz oriented singer songwriters w/ rhythm section looking for pedal steel player for shows and eventual studio work. Can cover your travel expenses and meals at my house during practices and guarantee a meaningful cut on all paying gigs.

50-60 original tunes, 30 currently in the setlist, all steel friendly. Some traditional country, some very jazzy, some country blues; all very melodic. Sound system is the BOSE PAS so all you need is your guitar and effects; no amp required.

Hard to figure the profile of who whould dig this... musical influences are Buffalo Springfield, CSN, Neil, Manassas, etc.. Professional attitude and approach, levelheaded and laid back guys in their 20's.

Sounds like a great gig, if only I lived in Ohio! I concentrate on original music, this would be right up my alley.

You could try searhing the forum using ohio and maybe turn up some steelers, email them, maybe their interested, or know someone, etc
