Hey Steve,
Purdy - Purdy! That is one nice guitar! I like the white pickup. If it plays and sounds as good as it looks, you have a keeper. I played a Derby at Billy Cooper's shop a year or two ago and it was a nice playing guitar. Enjoy...

Welcome to the Derby family Steve. I have 2 SD10's, one red and one blue. Never had a seconds problem with either. You've got a winner there for sure.

I am recently added to the Derby family as well. I got mine (a black D-10) in November.

I needed a second steel fast, and Charlie happened to have this baby in stock. As I had to be in Silicon Valley for business reasons back in November, Charlie sent it to my address over there (with one week's notice!). I took it in the plane back to the Netherlands, and voila!

It sounds really fabulous. Really fat and hot. It is nowadays my first choice steel guitar for gigs! It stays in tune wonderfully. I always laugh out loud when I set it up, plug in my peterson tuner, and see that the strobe is completely still!

Charlie is shipping my brand new Derby this coming Friday. 8 & 8. We are starting the country show again at the Colony theater in Hillsboro, Ohio and I can hardly wait for my Derby. Now I know what an expectant mother feels like!!
