Anyone remember "cracklins"? That was a delicacy during the dust bowl/depression era when we ate everything on a hog but the hooves.
Always kept a big jar of 'em in the cellar to snack on during the winter months. A belly full of cracklins kept you warm!

I just "Got it"..
(Looks like Jennings beat me to it by a skinny minute..)
"Cooking Steelers."
I'd go for the younger fatter ones.
Throw the liver away, drain off the fat, and baste with A1.
Yum.

nowbody has given me any directions on how to get to ya'll's house from here and I'm getting terribly hungry. My belly is eating thru my backbone, I'm looking so skinny I could be mistaken for your average well used yard rake. I need some of them tatters and turkey bird, I mean I hope a hard wind don't start blowing before I get dicovered.
Then from out of nowhere, I feel someone skaking me and I find that I had fallen asleep on the couch, and it's the wife telling me it's almost time to eat thanksgiveing diner.I slowly rise hungry and about 20 pounds over weight.A far cry from a yard rake but so much for dreams after reading a good night on the steelguitar forum

Last x-mas I did venison in a porto reduction sauce with cloves.
The year before was austich in an calvados apple brandy sauce.
With a punkin pie laced with brandy and candied apple bits
I want to do a Lobster Savanah again sometime.
Or wild boar (sanglier) sweet and aromatic,
smoked with apple twigs.
