I don't remember the last time this CD was mentioned here, but especially for the newbies; I think that this is a fantastic CD by a great musician that does a lot of fantastic work. I have purchased some of his tablature from several sources and you can go to his web-site....www.digndoug.com...I have never had the pleasure of meeting Doug but I hope to someday. I was just playing this CD today while on the road and I think that it is just so smooth and terrific. If I could just play like this........

Doug is a Great picker, a great& funny guy.and will talk your ear off..His seminars ARE very popular within the steel guitar world..and he likes to talk..and to laugh. But you know..most of the people in the Steel guitar world arelikeable, friendly, and talkitine.it's a blast going to the jams and shows. and mixing the names with the faces.and every one is just having a great time!So get out there with all of the other pickers.non pickers.or wanna be's ..and have some fun..Support the steel jams and shows in your area for all of the pickers. You won't regret id

I just hope he comes our way to play or do a seminar; I'll want to be there. I am really impressed with all the tab and tutorial that he has done and I'm sure has helped a lot of musicians.

I tell you something else about Doug,he likes to eat.I spent three days one on one with him and I had the best time with him.He knows all the good places to eat and he is a very good teacher. If you get a chance it is worth the money to do a one on one with Doug...Now Doug where is my commission...

Charles,

You're absolutely right about this: it's a terrific CD. I bought it a few years ago and I recommend this to ANY steeler. I frequently play this CD to jazz players to promote the steel guitar. Most of them do not know what a steel guitar is and are stunned by the sound and capabilities when they here Doug play (my playing wouldn't impress them as much, I'm afraid... )

Doug plays superb on this one and has a great band on it too. For me, it's a must-have-one.

This sure is a great CD. Does anybody know where I can get a copy of the CD Doug made with Bucky Pizzarelli? The only place I can find it is on Amazon for $45. Ouch. I'll bet it's great, though.
