I'm pretty certain Herb is right. Bobbe would know for sure. Maybe he will happen in here and see the picture, or you could E him and find out.

All are good guesses....my guess is that he looks like a young Buddy Charleston, like about the time he was with the ET Trubadors!

Topic Drift:
We had a lot of nice "Nudie" and "Turk" uniforms in the Golden West Cowboys -- but Pee Wee King would not have let us wear those particular suits. He was superstitious and wouldn't allow anything yellow on the bandstand.
Now, just to bring my post back on topic: I have no idea who the steel player could have been!

| The bass player is Joel Price, who was with Little Jimmy Dickens when Buddy and Walter Haynes were in the band. He was the first in Nashville to play electric bass. |

Fender 1000 and Standel Custom, a very cool rig, indeed.
I have a spectacular Nathan Turk outfit that fit me beautifully when I was 150lbs., but that was 20 years ago.

Gene and Herb, same rig I had in the mid '60's. Bought down Bill Stafford's way from Loefflers Music Company in Gulfport Mississippi. (darn that's a lot of i's and s's). Super hook up. Wish I had it back. That old Standel was heavy but not as heavy as the Twin with JBL's. Pretty stable old horn too, tuning wise.
edit: for spelling and I thought the bass player was Slim Abernathy, but someone said it wasn't.

George, thanks for the kind words.
The sound clip was actually from the "Bobby Barnett Show" who I was working with at the time. Judy was a guest on the show.
