Here's Beats Walkin's take on the old Christmas chestnut, "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen". We cut it in a quickie, low-budget studio session a few years ago. Nuthin' too fancy, just a little different from the usual treatment. Hope y'all like it...
Cheers,
Jimbeaux

Jim, thanks for the Christmas classic.
I have always been one of your fans, but I really liked the "Paul Desmond" style sax on this recording!

Thanks guys. Glad you enjoyed it. To answer a few questions: no, it is not my son on horn; it is our former sax player Lynn Riley. And I can't recall exactly but I think it was the black Fessy; it definitely was a Fessy. As for a "whole" album of this kind of stuff, well... we do have one. Email me if you want to follow up. |
