Thanks for your concern. However, I personally don't feel I'm taking any "heat" over this issue. That's about my last comment on the matter. Tom is handling this matter in his way, as he had done since the issue began, long before I came on the scene.

Whoa Jim, I didn't say Bradshaw shouldn't vote his concience, I didn't mean that at all. I said, in my opinion, I don't think it should even be discussed here as a "SGHOF thingie". I respect any board member's right to vote or even voice his opinion in a board meeting. I don't think it appropriate to allow individual members of the board to write such scathing letters to individuals who simply nominate someone to the HOF. Finally one has to question Bradshaw's individual effort for writing the Doctor. Was Bradshaw's letter written at the direction of the President of the HOF? I have an email in my possession from that gentleman that states in essence Tom wrote the letter of his own voilition and not at the direction of the board. I would wager the 1993 letter was not even the reason for the legal matter between Anderson and Bradshaw. The statute of limitations had expired on the letter and I don't believe it could have even been used. That indicates to me that something else was the basis for the legal action which was settled out of court.Just my opinion.
edited to add: The post about Herb Steiner was added while I was writing this one. Let it be known to all right now, I have never even implied that the other members of the board were even aware of Mr. Bradshaw's actions, especially Herb Steiner. I truthfully believe if all the facts were known there were/are some members that would have suggested Tom Bradshaw pull the reins up a long time ago, especially Herb. Just my opinion.

Whats all this got to do with Speed Pickin' and obtaining longer life out of the 3rd string ?
I ask you..if you sat down and practiced for the amount of time it takes to read all this stuff you would be a better player..
I didn't read it, don't want to, don't plan to..It sounds like a copule of guys have a couple of issues that they should work out off line..
I got in about an hour of practice instead. Now I'm going to lunch with a friend for some good East Carolina BBQ..

Time for a little humor in this thread so don't get your jockie shorts tied in knots.
Tony P says and he's probably right:
"Whats all this got to do with Speed Pickin' and obtaining longer life out of the 3rd string ?" Nothing Tony I play a MSA Millennium and it lasts as long as the others.
"I ask you..if you sat down and practiced for the amount of time it takes to read all this stuff you would be a better player.." I've been at it too long and most of my practice takes place on the bandstand now. And I just seem to stay the same. Saving my good stuff for the hereafter.
"I didn't read it, don't want to, don't plan to.." Tony, you should have paid attention to the title of the thread "Don't Read This" and you wouldn't have arrived at the bottom of the thread.
"I got in about an hour of practice instead. Now I'm going to lunch with a friend for some good East Carolina BBQ.." Glad you got in the practice but if the BBQ is made using some of the Mexican Steer we sold Monday, you would be better off cutting off the sole of one of your boots and eating it. They're that tough.

Tony - I agree with you 100%. This has been such a waste of good practice time.
Fred - FYI: Eastern Carolina BBQ is pork, not beef and we grow our own right here!

That's right, Fred. Over there, they barbeque that other animal. The one they feed the slop to.
One of my co-workers is from Iowa and it didn't take much time to convert him from pig to beef.

(PS: I do have to admit, though. A nice, hot pulled-pork sandwich can be mighty tasty!) |

Lee - Hey, we like beef too. Why just the other day I saw a couple of cars at the local McDonald's!
Seriously though, one of the best BBQ's I ever had was beef at a little place in Greenville, Texas - just excellent!
Hey, now isn't a debate about Pork verses Beef BBQ a lot more fun then getting all worked up over some silly old HOF?

Seems that all of the "heavyweights" have voiced their opinions already. Personally, I've had enough of this circular "debate". I'm closing this topic at the urging of various constituents.
